1. Who We Are

Offmic operates the Offmic mobile application. Offmic is a platform where subscribers pay to read real group chat conversations in real time. If you have questions about this policy, contact us at privacy@offmic.co.

2. What Offmic Does

Offmic has two types of users:

• Participants — people invited by a creator to write messages inside a group chat. Their conversations are visible to subscribers.
• Subscribers — people who pay to read chains in real time or on a time delay. Subscribers cannot write messages.
• Creators — participants who own and publish a chain to the platform.

3. Information We Collect

Information you provide directly

Third-party sign-in

If you sign in with Apple or Google, we receive your name and email address. We do not receive your password.

Messages and content

If you are a participant in a chain, the messages you send are stored and displayed to subscribers. You should have no expectation of privacy for messages you send inside a published chain.

Payment information

Payments are processed by Stripe. We do not store your credit card number or CVV. We store your subscription tier, status, and a Stripe customer reference ID.

• Create and manage your account
• Provide access to chains you have subscribed to
• Process payments and manage subscription state
• Enforce the 36-hour delay for free-tier users
• Send transactional emails (account verification, password reset)
• Investigate abuse and enforce our Terms of Service
• Improve the App through aggregated, anonymized usage analysis

We do not sell your personal information. We do not use your data for advertising.

5. How We Share Your Information

We share data only with service providers required to operate the App:

6. Participant Consent and Disclosure

If you are a participant in a chain, your messages will be visible to paying subscribers unless the chain is unpublished. By accepting an invitation to join a chain, you consent to your messages being visible to subscribers. Creators are responsible for informing their participants that the chain is published on Offmic.

7. Data Retention

We retain your account data for as long as your account is active. If you delete your account, we will delete your profile within 30 days. Messages you sent as a participant may be retained for a reasonable period before permanent deletion. Payment records are retained as required by law (typically 7 years).

8. Your Rights and Choices

Depending on where you live, you may have the right to access, correct, delete, or export your personal data. To exercise any of these rights, contact us at privacy@offmic.co. We will respond within 30 days.

California residents (CCPA): We do not sell personal information as defined by the CCPA.

EEA and UK residents (GDPR): Our legal basis for processing is contract performance and legitimate interests. You have the right to lodge a complaint with your local data protection authority.

9. Children's Privacy

Offmic is not directed to children under 13 (or 16 in the EEA). If you believe a child has created an account, contact us at privacy@offmic.co.

10. Security

We protect your data using TLS encryption in transit, AES-256 encryption for locally stored session tokens, row-level security at the database level, and hashed password storage. No system is perfectly secure — if you believe your account has been compromised, contact us immediately.

11. Changes to This Policy

We may update this policy from time to time. For material changes, we will notify you via email or in-app notice. The "Last updated" date at the top of this page reflects the most recent revision.
